Lee Anne Davies, PhD, MBA

Lee Anne's multi-year experience in the financial industry resulted in her interest in financial issues for aging populations as a public health issue. She completed her doctoral studies in poverty and financial capability in adults age 55+, supervised by Dr. John Hirdes. The analysis of financial abilities and economic trade-offs of this population was the first of its kind using interRAI data. Three provincial jurisdictions were studied. The relationships of poverty and financial capability with demographic, health, social and lifestyle factors resulted in new insights and recommendations for government and private sector policy considerations. These results also inspired Lee Anne to found and continue her work through Agenomics.ca.
