Chris Perlman, PhD

Dr. Perlman completed his BSc in Psychology from Trent University and his MSc and PhD in Health Studies and Gerontology at the University of Waterloo. He has worked in evaluation, decision support, and research roles at a large organization offering mental health services. Dr. Perlman is now an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Health and Health Systems where his teaching focuses on health systems, policy, and evaluation. His research interests focus on the development of applications using interRAI systems for supporting decision making, evaluation, and policy across health sectors. He has specific interests in the design of decision support tools, outcome measurement, health service utilization, and access to care among individuals with mental health needs across the lifespan.
